If you are anything like me, you know our pets are more than pets, they’re family. Like a member of a family, they deserve to be fed real authentic nutritious food.

My obsession with making dehydrated treats all started with the obsession I have of spoiling my fur baby, June. Since June entered my life on August 6th, 2022, she has been my soul dog, my best friend, anything I could ask for and more. As an 18 year old who had just graduated high school 2 months prior to getting her, I didn’t know much but I knew I wanted June to have the best quality of life.

You can imagine my surprise when I go to the pet store and I find treats that are filled with toxic additives, red-40, useless filler, preservatives, etc. Remember when I said ingredients you can’t pronounce? Here are some examples of what to watch out for in your pet’s treats;

• Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)

• Propyl gallate.
